OFFICE COORDINATOR

Citizens for Global Solutions is seeking a Office Coordinator to work out of its headquarters in Washington, D.C.

The Office Coordinator will report to the Executive Vice President and be responsible for performing office administration functions, including administering the day-to-day operations of the organization, maintaining relationships with vendors and service providers, overseeing the maintenance of the offices, facilities and office equipment, coordinating employee benefits and time records, calendaring events and deadlines, and maintaining office files (paper and electronic).  In addition to Office Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of projects that involve analyzing facts and circumstances and recommending a course of action. In addition, the Office Coordinator will assist in developing and improving office policies and procedures, oversee the hiring of student interns, collaborate with the part-time bookkeeper, and supervise several outside contractors (who handle matters from compliance filings to yard maintenance).

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and a demonstrated interest in organization management.   We are looking for candidates who are organized and disciplined, possess good verbal and written communication skills, and can operate independently to complete tasks and solve problems.  As a relatively small organization, we are seeking candidates who are collegial, collaborative and able to handle multiple tasks and spontaneous demands.  Experience with international issues and nonprofit organizations and enthusiasm for the organization's goals may be valuable.  An annual salary of $26,000 and generous benefits (health, vacation, etc.) are offered.

Citizens for Global Solutions embraces a vision of a world in which nations work together to abolish war, protect our rights and freedoms, and solve the problems facing humanity that no nation alone can solve.  To this end, Citizens for Global Solutions educates Americans about our global interdependence, communicates global concerns to elected officials, and develops proposals to strengthen and reform international institutions.

Candidates for Office Coordinator should send a letter describing their interest and qualifications, a resume, and a salary history to Robert A. Enholm, Executive Vice President, at jobs@globalsolutions.org.  Please note “Office Coordinator” in the subject line of the message.  Minority candidates are encouraged to apply.  Candidates should be U.S. citizens or in possession of a visa that permits them to work in the U.S.
