Citizens for Global Solutions' Political Action Committee

(Global Solutions PAC) works to elect federal candidates who support building effective democratic global institutions that will apply the rule of law while respecting the diversity and autonomy of national and local communities.  Find out who we are endorsing, how Citizens for Global Solutions members can contribute to the PAC, and more.

Citizens for Global Solutions' 2008 Congressional Candidate Questionnaire can be a valuable tool for learning what positions Congressional candidates take on issues ranging from international health and climate change to peacekeeping, prosecuting acts of heinous violence, and creating a UN Emergency Peace Service (UNEPS) that would rapidly respond to man-made and natural disaster.  It is also a tool to educate candidates, including incumbents, on global issues. If you are one of the many Americans who care about a candidate’s position on foreign policy issues but cannot find them due to the sparse attention given to global issues by most U.S. House and Senate nominees, the candidate questionnaire is for you! If your candidates have not yet responded to the questionnaire, download a PDF copy of the new Citizens for Global Solutions 2008 Candidate Questionnaire and send it to your candidates today requesting their response.

2008 Elections

With less than one year until the 2008 presidential election, it is important for us to stay on top of what each candidate is saying and doing. In this vein, Citizens for Global Solutions has created a cool new web tool designed to let you know where presidential candidates stand on important global issues.

"'08 or Bust! " is a website that tracks and seeks to generate candidate comments on issues that are core to Citizens for Global Solutions, including the International Criminal Court, United Nations Peacekeeping, and torture, as well as commonly discussed foreign policy issues, such as Iraq and climate change.

08 or Bust includes:

...a "comparison matrix " that allows you to compare the positions Clinton, McCain, and Obama on 13 different issues;
...the ability for you to enter candidate quotes you have found - including links to YouTube videos;
...an easy way to ask candidates to respond to our Presidential Candidate Questionnaire . You can also view responses from Senators Clinton and Obama.

The next president needs to understand that nations must work together to solve the global problems they cannot resolve on their own. "'08 or Bust! " was created to let you know, in a fun and easy way, which candidates share these values. Try it out, be an educated voter, join the conversation, or be a reporter. Together, we can make a difference!

Either we fix it in ’08, or bust!
