Global Child Survival Act of 2009
S. 1966 introduced in the Senate by Sen Dodd, Christopher J. [CT] on October 28, 2009
The purpose of this bill is:
(1) to develop a strategy to reduce mortality and improve the health of newborns, children, and mothers, and authorize assistance for its implementation; and
(2) to establish a task force to assess, monitor, and evaluate the progress and contributions of relevant departments and agencies of the United States Government in achieving Millenium Development Goal 4.
